Fall Skin Care Edit
As summer comes to an end the leaves begin to change, as do the needs of our skin. Cooler temperatures mean indoor heating which can lead to skin being more dehydrated. A great way to pump up the hydration on our skin is by incorporating products that include HYALURONIC ACID, a powerful humectant that holds one thousand times its weight in water. This magical ingredient acts like a drink of water for your skin infusing it with hydration, not oil, which means skin is left feeling soft and supple, not greasy.
My favourite product containing hyaluronic acid is the Hydra-Cool Serum by IS Clinical. Applied under moisturizer or on it’s own in place of moisturizer for oilier skin conditions, this lightweight serum provides intensive, penetrating hydration and is packed with powerful antioxidants that are extremely anti aging.
After the long sunny summer we had many of us are experiencing increased pigmentation and brown spots on our skin. UV exposure is the biggest trigger for pigmentation on the skin and is very common after the sunnier months. I find using the White Brite Complex by IS Clinical super effective at fading these sunspots without bleaching the skin, with the added bonus of having an exfoliating action so skin is left super smooth and pores look smaller. White Brite is incredibly effective because it targets the 5 stages of pigment production while inhibiting future pigmentation.
Alas we can’t talk about fall skincare without mentioning the amazing Pumpkin Glycolic Peel by Green Envee, tis the season of Pumpkin Spiced everything after all! This potent exfoliating masque is chock full of real pumpkin puree, along with clove and bilberry which not only smell heavenly, but also exfoliate the skin stimulating cell turnover to revitalize skin an uncover a youthful glow. Pumpkin Glycolic Peel is also great at reducing pigmentation and smoothing rough textured skin.
In studio I am focusing on deeply exfoliating treatments like the Hydrafacial and dermaplaning services now that sun exposure is lower and we can really work on brightening the skin by sloughing the layers of dead skin cells. I hope to see you for a your monthly treatment soon, and in the meanwhile enjoy sweater weather and this cozy chill out playlist:
