Meline's day serum for phototypes IV to VI is formulated specifically for medium-olive through deep skin, where uneven tone behaves differently and where the wrong actives can leave marks worse than they started. Tranexamic acid and glutathione lead on the appearance of discolouration, supported by pyruvic, phytic and salicylic acids for gentle surface renewal and phenylalanine as part of the tone complex.

This is not the same product as the phototype I–III serum with a different label. Meline reformulated it — different acid profile, different balance — because deeper skin needs a resurfacing approach calibrated to it. It arrives in a 30 ml dropper bottle and is applied every morning, always under a broad-spectrum sunscreen.

Like the rest of the Meline system, it is course-based. Give it a full 30 days of daily use before judging results, and keep SPF on every day you use it.

Morning use. After cleansing, apply 3 to 4 drops to clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Press in and let it absorb fully before moisturizer. Always follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Use daily for a minimum 30-day course. If your skin is new to acids, start every other morning and build up.

How To Use

"Use the product for at least 90 days, a clinician can recommend the total treatment duration if you have had an in-clinic treatment.

After cleansing the facial skin, apply only to the pigmented areas using the tube sponge device. Allow it to dry and absorb. It is then possible to apply the MELINE 03 Moist occlusive repair product and MELINE 04 B.B. Cream as a sunscreen and color corrector."

It is a different formula, not a different label. This version uses pyruvic, phytic and salicylic acids with phenylalanine alongside the tranexamic acid and glutathione base, calibrated for medium-olive through deep skin. The I to III version uses kojic acid, copper tripeptide and lactobionic acid instead.
Broadly: phototypes IV to VI cover medium-olive, brown and deep skin that tans readily and rarely burns. If you are unsure, book a consultation with us — choosing the right version of this serum matters more than with most products.
